About
I am passionate about creating products that are intuitive, honest, and enduring. This requires distilling an idea to its essence to reveal purpose and beauty. It means understanding the potential of materials and the limitations of manufacturing methods. Most importantly, it takes effective collaboration in order to solve problems and push boundaries.
My consultancy experience in both the medical device and consumer product categories has helped me develop a broad range of skills and knowledge that starts from a simple sketch and carries through to manufacturing. I’ve sketched blue sky concepts, prototyped wearable devices, conducted user research and formative studies, detailed plastic parts for injection molding, inspected assembly lines, produced renderings for brand launches, and advised startups on all things design.
Things I believe in (as a designer) - add nothing superfluous, celebrate materials, prototype early and often, always be learning
